What is the best treatment for hair loss?

Now let me first tell a bit about the FDA approved medicines for hair loss which are minoxidil and finasteride. These medicines do work but comes with a number of side effects for many people, so I generally advise people to stay clear of these medicines and only use them as a last resort option.

To better understand the best treatment for hair loss one must first understand the common reasons behind it which are genetic, nutritional, stress, medication or excessive styling related in most cases. Genetic and medication induced hair loss may be difficult to treat but other reasons can easily be taken care of by paying attention to diet, reducing stress and applying less problem causing agents to the scalp.

Now let me tell you the natural things that I used to regrow my hair after doing all the things that I mentioned above.

Pumpkin seed oil - This is the first product natural product I would recommend to any male or female who is suffereing from hair loss. Pumpkin seed oil contains phytosterols which could block enzymes and hormones in your scalp that cause hair loss. There are studies that taking pumpkin seed oil as an oral supplement caused 40 more hair growth in people than the placebo group. But i still decided to use it in topical form since I also read a mice study which says that it works well in topical form too. Take 5–6 drop and mix it with the other oil that I will mention and massage it at night.

Peppermint oil - This is an absolute favourite product of mine and I would like to say use it with caution and always dilute it before using as it is very powerful. I started using this product based on a rat study in which rats were divided into 4 gropus and one group were applied saline water, one group was applied jojoba oil, one was applied minoxidil ans the last were applied peppermint oil. All the rats were examined after 4 weeks and in this study it was noted that peppermint oil group rats showed comparable or even better results than the minoxidil group rats. Now many people may not like the fragrance of pumpkin seed oil and by mixing it with peppermint there is only the fragrance of menthol that remains and it cools the head like no other.

Good DHT controlling shampoo - There are many good DHT controlling shampoos in the market. I would suggest you to look for ingredients like saw palmetto, nettle leaf extract as they are natural DHT blockers. I personally use wow DHT blocking shampoo but you can use any other there that you may find useful.

Moringa - Moringa is a nutritional powerhouse which has a ton of health benefits including protecting and nourishing skin and hair. It is said to contain a whooping 92 nutrients and 46 antioxidants which beside being good for hair also contributes towards heart health, bone health, high blood pressure, stomach problems etc. But people with low blood pressure should avoid this as this has the potential to lower the bp further. You can buy himalaya shigru tablets they contain moringa or use organic india moringa leaf powder or any other which you may find helpful.

For anyone looking for in depth knowledge about hair loss they can watch this video made by me on this topic which covers all the common reasons and products that I mentioned in detail.
